A Founder’s Story
With a career and expertise built over the last 30 years in business strategy and leadership development, I found myself using the very same mindset skills that I had afforded professionally to others, in my own personal life, after receiving a Breast Cancer diagnosis during Covid-19 in 2021.
A natural inquisitiveness, combined with wanting to find solutions and ‘fix the small things’ that matter the most so that others may benefit from a positive patient experience during their treatment plan and beyond, has become an important part of my day-to-day working life.
Today, 3 years after my initial diagnosis, Chapter 50 has been incorporated and designed to provide a holistic personal development approach for a number of clients who have just received, or have been through, a breast cancer diagnosis.
I have been appointed as Chair of the Patient Partner Voice Forum, NHS England National Cancer Programme; Lived Experience Patient Partner, South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA); become a member of the Breast Cancer Now Strategy Steering Group & EDI Patient Advocate and recently honoured to be announced as winner of the Outstanding Contribution Award at the Patient National Network Awards, October 2024.
With the rise of breast cancer diagnoses in women, I now consult and speak internationally about my lived experience at charity, corporate and private events.
